It's Been Too Long

Just wanted to update you on Miracle Miller since it has been a while since we added to this blog. A few nights back I had woke up around 4am to find Matt reading this blog. He was smiling and then reminded me we had not updated this blog for quite some time. So here we are--updating it...finally! (Sorry for the delay.)

Miracle Miller has been sharing his smiles with us for almost 3 years now. Each morning I wake up--no matter how tired I am--he manages to somehow put a smile on my face in his own unique way. We can't believe how big he has gotten and his vocabulary is about to surpass ours. He can't stop talking, walking, playing, running and everything else a toddler loves to do! He is amazing!

Miller is now enjoying preschool and has many friends. Well, in fact, has a few girlfriends too including his first girlfriend--Caroline. A cute little blond that comes from a sweet family--so I have already given it my blessing. :) But true to all guys--he has made her mad and I think they broke up for a little bit around Valentine's Day--but have gotten back together since then. I think they have sort of a Love You/Love my toys more relationship but so it goes and I am proud of him for trying to learn how to share.

Life is good for all of us DeLorenzo's. Everyone seems to be healthy--knock on wood--with the exception of Matt's ankle which he will have surgery in early December. Lucky for me he is having it right after Miller's 3rd Birthday. I am sure that Miller will be helpful to his daddy while he is laid up as that Miller has exhibited many "caring" and "nurturing" qualities. So much that he keeps asking for a baby brother or sister but I don't think I am ready to go there just yet. (That is subject for another blog entry later.)

So sweet Miller--almost 3--in fact ON Thanksgiving Day this year. I remember laying on the couch 3 years ago just praying that Miller would get here heathly and happy after week 32--so I had already accepted that his birthday may land on Thanksgiving. This is the first year that it has landed on THE day. I have come to the conclusion that it is the perfect day for his birthday mainly because we are so THANKFUL to be celebrating such a special boy's birthday. Of course, a Longhorn win would be something else to be thankful for too! I am sure that is what Miller is going to be wishing for when he blows out his candles---a Longhorn win AND perhaps a "Toy Story" or Spiderman toy. :)

Peace, Love & Smiles from The DeLo's
